Outdoor Theatre - A Midsummer Night's Dream - Rufford Old Hall

Let yourself be whisked away on an enchanting journey to the most magical of forests and meet bewitched lovers, playful fairies, and hilarious travelling players.

Beautifully designed Elizabethan costumes, a wonderful musical score and fine performances come together to make this 25th anniversary performance an evening of unmissable summer garden theatre, taking place here in the beautiful grounds of Rufford Old Hall.

Please note:

  • From the car park, make your way to the Beech Walk Paddock where the performance will take place.
  • Bring low backed chairs or blankets as seating is not provided. As the sun sets it can get cold, so layers of clothes are advised.
  • Performance and seating area is on grass. The performance will go ahead in all weathers, so please come prepared if required.
  • Please note that access to the Beech Walk Paddock is via a large cobbled area.
  • Prior to the performance, there will be an opportunity to purchase food from the tea-room. During the interval the tearoom will be open for refreshments, cakes, hot/cold drinks, crisps and ice cream.  If you prefer, please feel free to bring a picnic.
